Private In-Person & Virtual Training Sessions

Personalized, hands-on training focused on you and your dog, offered 9AM-5PM on weekdays in Grand Haven, and surrounding areas for a travel fee. Each session is tailored to help you and your dog achieve your objectives in a fun and relaxed environment. Our gently balanced techniques are based on dog psychology and aim to create happier, healthier relationships between dog and owner. Virtual sessions focus on these objectives over Google Meet.

Dog-Only Sessions

We come to take your dog for a 1-hr training session while you go throughout your day. This service is great for owners that are short on time or want to focus on behaviors that require more practice for dogs to learn. If socialization is a goal for your dog or puppy, we can bring dogs along to facilitate appropriate introductions. Dog-only sessions are available in 5-hour packages.

Day Training

Day training is a 6-hr day of intensive hands-on training for your dog between 8:30am-3:30pm focused on your specific goals or dog’s behavior issues. This includes a 30-min debrief at pick-up to go over what we worked on and what you can do to continue the training with your dog. Inquire at info@locdogs.com for availability or 5-day package info.

Trainer Shadow Program

Immerse yourself in the training world by shadowing Lindsey for a day, asking questions, and observing sessions, pack walks, day trains, and more. You will have to opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the Locdogs pack. Inquire at info@locdogs.com for availability.

Group Classes

Group classes are a fun way to teach your dog or puppy new skills in a relaxed, social environment.  

Locdogs Advanced Class (Wednesdays)

This drop-in style class offers clients and their dogs a unique opportunity to build on their training foundation amidst other dogs and downtown distractions. We cover topics like neutrality in public, socialization, recall, relaxation, and any dog-specific goals. Above all, we provide a judgement-free community of training support.

Puppy School CLasses (Currently Unavailable)

Puppy school follows the AKC Puppy S.T.A.R. program to help puppies (between 8 weeks and 1 year of age) learn basic manners and resolve problem behaviors like jumping, mouthing, and house-training accidents. This class also includes play time to help the puppies become friendly and sociable.

CANINE Good Citizen (Currently Unavailable)

The AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) class covers basic obedience, socialization, and good manners in a public setting, downtown Grand Haven (16 Washington Ave). We will meet from 10-11am every Wednesday in June and July, and will offer the option to take the CGC certification test at the final class on July 30.

Puppy Socials

Lindsey hosts puppy socials once per month to provide client puppies (ages 8-wks to 1-year) an opportunity to train and play with other puppies in a fun, safe environment downtown Grand Haven. Puppy and owner must complete one private session prior to attending, as well as provide vet records showing proof of puppy’s age-appropriate vaccinations and negative parasite screening test.
